For its latest campaign entitled “Ingenieurskunst”, which translates as “The Art of Engineering”, German luxury luggage brand RIMOWA highlights the process, materials and manufacturing behind its suitcases.
Backed by the legendary Daft Punk track “Around the World”, the campaign shows different elements of the iconic Classic Cabin suitcase in different locations around the world. In doing so, it demonstrates the quality of the item and affirms that RIMOWA suitcases are the ultimate travel companion.
The installations pay homage to the craftsmanship behind the iconic luggage: “from the harmony of the raw, chrome and matt materials used to create the products, to the symphonic relationship between heavy machinery and the delicate craftsmanship that RIMOWA’s engineers have mastered”.
“The German engineering theme can be considered dry or technical,” says Emelie De Vitis, RIMOWA’s marketing manager. “But as our chief engineer describes, ‘it’s more like a symphony’. We wanted to show that German engineering, the core of who we are, is considered art at RIMOWA.”
