The choker is the new must-have for this Autumn/Winter 2023, Rosalía’s word, and this is how the most international Spanish singer wore it for her birthday, which she celebrated during Paris Fashion Week.
Every season fashion trends change little by little, whether in clothes, shoes or accessories. That’s when we see everything that is going to be worn in the following months, from what has already been worn previously and returns with renewed airs, to the totally new concepts that come to break with everything that has gone before. This season we see how the aesthetics of 2010 are conquering the catwalks and the collections of the most followed brands of the moment.
This decade, known for supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer or Christy Turlington, was also the decade of an accessory that has made a comeback in 2023. If at the time it triumphed in the hands of firms like Alexander Mcqueen, Isabel Marant or Dolce & Gabbana, this season we have seen it in Etro, Chanel or Jacquemus and of course, in Spanish firms like Lausett or Joys, in one of Rosalía’s favourites like Justine Clenquet or in big chains like Inditex.
Now, the choker is once again the most sought-after accessory to wear day and night. Attached to the neck, this accessory can be worn with different materials, from leather to pearls, and even decorative elements in the form of a pendant to give it movement. However, if this year we have to opt for a single design that you won’t fail to see on your Instagram feed, it’s the model that Rosalía wore for her birthday look, taking advantage of Paris Fashion Week.
The international Spanish singer wore an oversized black blazer, a mini skirt and kitten heels with fishnet tights. To finish off the look, a black choker with beads gave her that punk touch that contrasts with the romantic and sexy air of the lingerie in sight. The look has left no one indifferent and this accessory is, without a doubt, the must-have of the season to wear throughout Autumn-Winter 2023.
