Salehe Bembury is considered as the sneaker designer by excellence. Now he has designed together with ANTA two new silhouettes that arrive just in time to say goodbye to this 2020: SB-01 and SB-02. Maybe these names are familiar to you. In fact, they have been on everyone’s lips for several months. However, today the launch is official. The result is two iterations that combine vanguard and design.
The SB-01 silhouette is designed with a breathable fabric top without laces. It is wrapped in a neoprene and TPE wrap that gives the sneaker total insulation against water. The most characteristic feature is the possibility of using the complete or partial piece through the use of zippers.
On the other hand, the SB-02 has a low cut style, simpler and available at a much lower price than the previous one. “I challenged both ANTA and myself to create a successful sneaker for under $100 USD. Often sneakers that are below $100 USD look like it. Quality, design, and ‘cool’ are usually absent.” says Bembury. Neoprene, stretch fabric and TPU are layered at the top and combined to create unique cut details. This is held together with a lacing system placed over a thick midsole designed for outdoor use.
The official release date has not yet been revealed. You can learn more about these new drops at the Bembury website. The SB-01 model has a price of $120 USD and, as we have told you before, the SB-02 will be sold for $90 USD.
As you can see, the designs are more than suggestive; as is their chromatic proposal based on bright, vibrant colors. Don’t be left without them, Salehe’s designs are already conceived as authentic works of art.
