The crown prince of Saudi Arabia unveils plans for the large project located in the center of Riah called “Mukaab”, which comprises 20 times the volume of the Empire State Building.
Mohammad bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has unveiled plans for a major project located in the center of Riyadh called “Mukaab“. It is a cubic structure 400 meters high, 400 meters wide and 400 meters long, which in total contains 20 times the volume of the Empire State Building in New York.
The structure is inspired by modern Najdi architecture. Its exterior is composed of a layered pattern of interlocking triangles, and the interior features an immersive “gateway to another world,” built with the latest digital, virtual and holographic technology. The massive cube also features premium accommodations, retail spaces and recreational facilities inside.
The Mukaab is the centerpiece of the ambitious New Murabba Development Company project, which is under the Public Investment Fund, chaired by Prince bin Salman. This grand plan is estimated to be definitively completed by 2030. Find more information in the following Public Investment Fund video or on the New Murabba website.
