After gaining huge success thanks to his Nike collaboration, the Air Max 1/97 won’t be the last ones reinterpreted by Sean Wotherspoon. After splitting ways with the Oregon company, ASICS, with atmos in the mix too, will provide the American creative their GEL-LYTE III for this new alliance.
Though he’s probably not in his personal peak of hype right now, Sean Wotherspoon (@sean_wotherspoon) keeps enough commercial impact and is still receiving collaboration proposals from companies like Guess, Vespa or, in this occasion, ASICS.
Japanese brand joins with RoundTwo’s (@roundtwohollywood) founder and with world renown retailer atmos to provide a new interpretation of their legendary GEL LYTE III. As could not have been otherwise, SW is back again with corduroy and multicolor panelling for his vision of this popular silhouette from the Kobe-based company. As we could see in his collab with Nike for his Air Max 1/97, this GEL LYTE III will also feature velcro accessories for the shoe customization.
While waiting for the release date, what we already learnt is that they’re quite a replica of his work with Nike.
