Following the release of the first trailer for director Sofia Coppola’s highly anticipated film “Priscilla”, the film will hit our screens on 14 February 2024. Starring Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, the film offers a captivating and intimate portrait of the 14-year relationship between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock and Roll. Based on Priscilla Presley’s autobiography ‘Elvis & Me’, the film chronicles Elvis and Priscilla’s extensive relationship and tumultuous marriage, from their meeting on a military base in Germany to their life together at the majestic Graceland estate.
The film has already grossed more than $20 million at the US box office, and now its UK release will boost that figure even further. But not all the success has been in its box office sales – the Sofia Coppola-directed film has also sparked a fan phenomenon for Priscilla’s aesthetic. Fresha reveals that searches for ‘Priscilla Presley make-up’ on Pinterest have shot up 145% since October. As well as her make-up, the fervour extends to her iconic locks, with searches for ‘Priscilla Presley hair’ up 115%.
Priscilla is known for her locks and flawless eyeliner, and the new film is sparking a resurgence of glamorous 60s looks. Fresha comments on her analysis of Pinterest search data: “Priscilla Presley’s timeless charm and signature makeup have transcended eras, captivating new audiences every generation. The recent surge in searches reflects a collective fascination with her iconic look and indicates a modern resurgence of vintage beauty trends.”
He continues: “Further cementing Priscila as a beauty icon for all ages.
