Shae Detar captures the feminine mysticism in "Another World"

Model Shae Detar explores the art of photography and nudity in her first book entitled “Another World”, in which she immortalizes an ode to women, mysticism and the beauty of the female body depicted on dreamlike natural landscapes.

This photographic book stimulates our fantasy and our escapist desire through a series of hand-painted snapshots starring a cast of revered women through the lens and alternative reality of Shae Detar.

“Another World” then captures a kind of visual and appreciative celebration of the different corporeal varieties of women under a female perspective and gaze removed from reification and/or structural sexualization.

The works become the result of a creative fusion of contemporary art techniques with fashion photography, in which the artist experiments with the shapes, lights and textures that compose them on an ethereal variety of natural settings.

In the images, women transformed into angels or mermaids of the sea free themselves and enjoy their sensuality and/or their carnal reality, acquiring different poses with their bodies, whether contorted, erect or lying on the sand. In the midst of this composition, color and paint accentuate the differences and highlight these bodies wrapped in the mysticism and evasion of Detar’s work.
