We travelled to the Portuguese capital for three days to enjoy the second edition of Sónar Lisbon. We tell you our point of view of one of the most interesting musical experiences of the season with more than 50 concerts and DJ sets featuring the biggest names in electronic music today and the hottest names on the Portuguese scene.
The H. team had the pleasure of enjoying the Sónar Lisbon experience full of the most avant-garde electronic sounds and live shows of the season. We experienced all this from the four stages – two indoor and two outdoor – located in the Parque Eduardo VII, one of the largest green spaces in the city. In addition, Sónar Lisbon added another space for dancing and enjoying music in the middle of nature: the Estufa Fria botanical garden.
Sónar Lisbon, which celebrated its 2nd edition in the heart of the Portuguese capital from 31 March to 2 April, welcomed the festival season and the first action of its 30th anniversary. On the first day we gathered at the Estufa Fria with the Sónar team to celebrate the Opening. After touring the botanical garden, observing the connections Sónar had established with nature and technology, and listening to a short speech from its founders, the party was just getting started.
On Friday we enjoyed in the leafy confines of the Estufa Fria the performances of VTSS and OR:LA. We also saw the exclusive show by I Hate Models at SonarClub. On Saturday we saw A/V show from our friend Folamour, DJ sets from South Korean Peggy Gou, DJ MELL G, the duo 99999999999 and Hector Oaks; on Sunday we met Bawrut at SonaPark and listened to Chet Facker and Belgian DJ Amelie Lens. What happened backstage is history.
