The 2nd edition of Sónar Lisbon will be held on Friday 31 March, Saturday 1 and Sunday April. The final programme will feature more than 50 concerts and DJ sets by the biggest names in electronic music today and the hottest names on the Portuguese scene.
This new Sónar Lisbon will have four stages (two indoor and two outdoor) that will host an extensive daytime and nighttime programme. Three of the stages will be concentrated in the Pabilhão Carlos Lopes and the fourth will be just a five-minute walk away, within the Parque Eduardo VII itself.
The programme of this 2nd edition is completed today with the stars of world clubbing who have made house and techno the genres of the moment. The disco-tinged house music of South Korean Peggy Gou; the poppy house of South African Major League DJZ and Australian DJ Chet Faker with his soul-influenced indietronica join other icons of today’s electronic dance music such as Folamour, Mochakk, KiNK live, Acid Pauli and Astra Club (DJ Tennis b2b Carlita).
Techno music for large audiences will also have some of its biggest representatives in Belgian producer and DJ Amelie Lens; live acid techno lover Reinier Zonneveld; Neapolitan sensation Anfisa Letyago and Enrico Sangiuliano, one of the genre’s most acclaimed producers today.
Patrick Manson, the epitome of Berlin underground clubbing, will also be joining the line-up, leading a series of artists who are committed to the most acidic and accelerated aspects of electro, techno and rave genres: the duo 999999999 live and others who had already been announced such as VTSS, Héctor Oaks live, VIL and I Hate Models, who will be performing an exclusive show for the festival.
In 2023, electronic dance music continues to be marked by a wide diversity of sound. Sónar Lisbon will feature several artists, both international and Portuguese, who find new ways to lead the dancefloor. DJ MELL G, Sofia Kourtesis, King Kami, Lady Shaka and Cormac b2b fka.m4a represent these new currents, alongside the already announced tandems SHERELLE x Kode9 and Skream b2b Mala and Portuguese artists DJ Nigga Fox live and Shaka Lion.
As usual at Sónar, live music will play a key role. Highlights include an audiovisual performance by Max Cooper and performances by WhoMadeWho, Cinthie and local idols Sensible Soccers. Joining today is James Holden, who will be performing his new album live. Also joining the line up are Colin Benders and Portugal’s Throes + The Shine.
Finally, Sónar Lisbon will feature a line-up of DJs renowned for their wide and exquisite selection of music. Highlights include internationals Or:la and Bawrut, as well as a very broad representation of the hot Portuguese electronic scene, with legends of the country such as Rui Vargas b2b Gustavo, Yen Sung and Violet b2b Photonz and a series of emerging DJs such as Ana Pacheco, Francisca Urbano and Catarina Silva, among others.
Tickets for Sónar Lisbon are now available through sonarlisboa.pt. The programme for the 30th edition of Sónar Barcelona, to be held on 15, 16 and 17 June 2023, will be completed very soon.
