It will now come to life reimagined as a low-speed electric vehicle.
The adorable twelve-legged Catbus, inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s famous animated film, has been reimagined as a fully functional twelve-legged electric vehicle, designed in collaboration between Toyota and technology company MONET. It can accommodate six people in addition to the driver and reaches a top speed of 19 kilometers/hour. The Catbus retains the details and essence of Miyazaki’s screen creation, including a sleek matte finish and plush seat covers.
You can already see the vehicle in the gallery above, which is scheduled to begin operation on March 11, 2024.
