Dior Couture SS21 is a game of superstitions. The characters of the tarot cards come to life through the designs of Maria Grazia Chiuri. The result is a perfect correlation between esotericism and haute couture. Ready to see what the future holds?

Instead of a runway show, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the SS21 Couture collection through a film directed by Italian filmmaker Matteo Garrone: “Le Château du Tarot”. As a starting point, the actress Agnese Claisse visits a clairvoyant to find an answer to the question “Who am I?”. Thus, she is sent on a mystical journey inspired by the tarot where she will find herself.

Along the way she meets different tarot card characters. They all appear divinely dressed by Dior Atelier. Like Dante, the protagonist will now face a whole series of archetypes that will test her mettle.

The diaphanous gauze worn by the letter of Justice stands out, as does the horned headdress and golden dress worn by the Devil. Also the Wizard’s cape of long dimensions and embroidered with hundreds of iridescent feathers, or the tunic of the High Priestess made of golden jacquard and shiny burgundy.

Dior Couture shows are always synonymous with opulence and creative debauchery. Today Maria Grazia Chiuri has elevated this concept to the category of a dreamlike and literary work. Find out more at dior.com.
