The creative director who is adapting the codes of the British house to the new generations, now appoints performer Tang Wei as the latest Burberry ambassador. The award-winning star is known for her iconic roles in films such as “Late Autumn”, “The Golden Era”, “Crossing Hennessy” and “Decision to Leave”.
As Burberry’s new ambassador, Wei will star in campaigns and make public appearances in the luxury brand’s new designs, as she did on her debut on Wednesday, wearing a classic trench coat with a faux fur collar from its FW23 collection, paired with a pair of round-toe boots and a small Knight bag in blue grained calfskin and shearling.
“Having known Burberry for many years, I feel as if we have become old friends, with their influence deeply woven into my life,” Tang said excitedly about her new role for the brand. “I am so grateful for this long-lasting partnership. I love Burberry’s mastery of colour and lines, which gives off a sense of familiarity and newness at the same time. It’s a British charm that I’ve come to know and love, coupled with a timeless yet rebellious modern spirit. Fate brought us together. This friendship is like a rose, and I’d love to see it blossom.
