The adidas FYW 98, one of the most iconic models of the 90s, is back from Packer. This model stands out for its classic design updated with retro and Y2K codes, reflective details and an oversize structure.
Many may look to Nike or Jordan Brand basketball silhouettes, however, adidas had its heyday with the FYW (Feet Your Wear) in the 1990s. While the model saw a slight resurgence in 2020, the silhouette returns this season once again thanks to New Jersey-based Packer.
Via Packer’s director Victor Kan, we got a look at the two Packer x adidas FYW Intimidation colourways arriving this season: one silhouette mixes cream, black, grey and white, while the other combines black, grey, purple and wine red.
This 90’s retro model is made from mesh, suede and nubuck with a rubber sole and textile lining. Branding details can be seen along the collar and heel as is the adidas logo, however, through the images uploaded by Victor we couldn’t see any reference to Packer.
What surprised us the most about this release is the adiPRENE+ midsole which is inspired by the adidas Yeezy 500 with its wavy, organic shape covered in white on the “White Grey” pair and a black shaded outsole for the “Black”. A nod to Kanye West’s former line.
Packer x adidas FYW se lanzará en la temporada Primavera/Verano 2023 a través de Packer en línea y en la tienda.
