The Barcelona Erotic Salon returns after three years

The Barcelona Erotic Show will hold its 29th edition from 16 to 19 June at the Vall d’Hebron Olympic Pavilion in Barcelona. After three years without being able to be held due to the health crisis, it returns renewed and adapted to the new realities, following the commitment to feminization that already began in its last editions. 

 

This year’s festival is about the normalisation of sexual eroticism and the acceptance of non-normative bodies through an extensive, diverse, inclusive and revolutionary programme. For this reason, the new image of the festival has been created by the designer Marina Salazar; recently known for the iconic chest she designed for Rigoberta Bandini‘s performance at the last edition of Benidorm Fest.

Salazar, who stands out for his groundbreaking, fun and highly visual ideas, wanted to transmit, through the reinterpretation of figures from Greek mythology, inclusivity and corporal diversity in eroticism. The different posters capture the opposition between antiquity and modernity but, at the same time, the connection between these two concepts.

The Erotic Show aims to be a space for fun, reunion, discovery and learning about new pleasures. For this reason, this year’s novelties include the creation of a new virtual reality space; a film series on sexuality and an erotic art space that will feature illustrations, paintings, photographs and other pieces; installations and artistic performances related to erotica.

Another of the great novelties of the Show is that porn will be shown in more intimate and reserved spaces. It will be up to the audience to decide what they want to see. The performances will offer an exclusive and feminist view, and will vindicate the normalisation of diverse bodies. All genders will be represented in order to make all ways of experiencing sexuality visible. The Erotic Show, which is intended to accommodate all kinds of pleasures, will also include a shibari, BDSM and tantra area.

The event will also feature a large erotic products market, exhibitions, book presentations, a tattoo area and a comfortable gastronomic area.

Tickets for the Barcelona Erotic Show will be on sale at the end of April. The programme will also be announced and the confirmed artists will be unveiled.
