After announcing his departure from the creative direction of Hood By Air, the designer is embarking on a new artistic adventure.
It is an immersive exhibition conceptualised and realised by himself in which he merges his legacy and his future as one of the most disruptive designers of recent years. Called ‘The Mall of Anonymous’, it will mark the beginning of a new chapter in Oliver‘s career and will be on display in Berlin‘s Schinkel Pavillon and will occupy two and a half floors. Each part will be dedicated to the three brands in which the creative is involved: his creative studio Anonymous Club; his basics line As Seen by Shayne Oliver; and his high-end ready-to-wear label Shayne Oliver.
The design of the space will pay homage to the traditional architecture of shopping centres and the labyrinthine mental space in which ideas are born: functional and chaotic in equal measure. An ironic look at the infrastructure of consumerism, its historical legacy and its decline.
