The more spiritual and solemn side of pablopablo

Madrid-based artist pablopablo presents the fourth preview of his long-awaited and imminent debut album: Mandela Place.

The artist from Madrid releases the fourth advance of his long-awaited and imminent debut album after ‘Azul Zafiro’, ‘Números Rojos’ and ‘Paris’. Mandela Place’ as a place where we fight against ourselves. Where we observe the emotional seams of our own limits. A story that symbolises a beacon of light for lost souls.

Feeling imprisoned by a circumstance with no apparent escape. A blockage that makes you hostage to yourself when things don’t work out. A frustration that pablopablo exhales in the form of a soft and sophisticated song, finding the escape valve of a vital claustrophobia. The composer draws a spiritual soundscape that transits in existential soul, intimate and deep. Solemn, raw and real.

Calm in the face of obstacles and hope in the face of adversity. The voice as a whisper to exorcise inner demons and find relief in music. With the strength and consistency of a gospel mantle that illuminates the soul. Mandela Place’ is sour, but it sounds sweet. It is knowing that we are on the edge and at the same time being aware that it is up to us how to face it. Everything passes, although the melancholy remains.

The song, the young artist’s first in English, is an allegory of an experience he had in London during his first year there. From an unpleasant moment he has managed to extract an addictive melody for a song that enraptures, conquers and consoles in equal parts. A lesson that from the bad things we can also extract something useful in our lives.

Behind pablopablo is Pablo Drexler, a young man from Madrid living in London who gives off the aura of a special artist from the very first moment. In this dazzling start to his career, in which he has attracted the attention of the industry and the specialised press, he is combining his first releases, while accompanying C. Tangana on his international tour ‘Sin Cantar Ni Afinar’, with which he is presenting his acclaimed album ‘El Madrileño’.

Now… Why don’t you take a look at the third preview of pablopablo’s album?
