The original showrunner could be preparing the return of ‘The Office’

Rumors indicate that Greg Daniels, the sitcom’s showrunner, plans to reboot The Office when the WGA strikes end.

The original showrunner could be preparing the return of ‘The Office’

Matt Belloni of Puck was the one who reported on this, mentioning that “Greg Daniels is set to do a reboot of The Office.” He also mentions that Disney’s Dana Walden may announce the return of Netflix’s Ryan Murphy and that there will be high-profile movie scripts.

The veracity of these rumors has yet to be confirmed. Daniels has previously expressed a preference for doing an “extension” rather than continuing with the original characters. He is unsure if sitcom fans would want this, but mentions that NBC would be excited to do so.

Whether the original cast, which includes Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, B. J. Novak, Melora Hardin, David Denman, Leslie David Baker and many others, would be willing to reprise their roles remains an open question.

On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton and Hajime Sorayama team up to create a racing helmet.
