The sartorial sportswear of adidas Originals x Wales Bonner

Designer Wales Bonner reconnects her imagery with adidas to launch a new capsule for the SS21 season. The collection explores the intersection between Britain and the Caribbean during the 1980s.

The creative tandem that already had their collaborative (and euphoric) moment in the fall-winter 2020 season, unites again their vision to present a series of summer pieces with which the designer already debuted in her SS21 presentation. This new story connects the creative director’s sartorial line with the aesthetics and sportswear spirit of adidas.

Wales Bonner has reimagined both footwear and apparel, from tartan tracksuits, soccer shirts and shorts to classic adidas silhouettes. Thus, we find iterations of the Nizza sneakers in chromatic shades such as black or purple. Also of the Samba silhouette, giving way to two black leather designs, each with contrasting laces.

Wales Bonner x adidas Originals SS21 will be released on March 26 via the adidas website.
