The iconic “Sex and the City” series will officially return for a reboot on HBO Max. The streaming platform confirmed the expected news revealing that most of the original cast will be back to star in the series.
The entire original cast, except for one member, will return to the series. For those who have not yet seen it, the chapters tell the story of Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and her three friends, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall). The popular series, which ran from 1998 to 2004, had six seasons on HBO, followed by two movies in the late ’00s.
“I wouldn’t call it a restart, I would call it a ‘visit,'” SJP said in an interview. “I’d like to see where all of them are. I’m curious, the world has changed so much… technology and social networking. However, Cattrall said on several occasions that she is not interested in participating in this reunion. We wonder what happened to Samantha.
