The shifting shapes of Nanushka FW23

Sandra Sandor explores changing shapes and materials in this new proposal for Nanushka’s fall-winter 2023 season.

Sandra Sandor continues to explore concepts such as the beauty of imperfection, fluidity of form and sustainability through fashion in this Nanushka collection for the FW23 season, in which she turns her boho-chic aesthetic and spirit into a universal mantra.

The experimental craftsmanship of the Hungarian house weaves this new proposal in which the creative director once again juxtaposes traditional techniques with contemporary silhouettes in the same solid concept of clean cuts and minimalist essence.

Within the collection entitled “SHAPE SHIFTING“, and its synopsis of changing and evolving shapes, we find a series of tight pieces that coexist with other XXL pieces embellished with the brand’s leather trims and appliqués. A whole constellation of sartorial games bathed in neutral and earth tones with contrasting chromatic accents that color garments such as fur-lined collarless sherpa jackets, button-down shirts or pleated pants.

In the same visually coordinated universe, other garments are exhibited as contemporary works such as tight dresses with bangs that offer that effect in movement of the silhouette; while biker jackets are combined with wraparound and asymmetrical skirts superimposed on oversized pants of avant-garde tailoring.

Materials collide and merge in this collection dominated by leather or crochet, as well as prints that evoke Hungarian symbology, and which in turn connect with the heritage and identity of one of the most exciting brands in the fashion system.
