The third episode of ‘Escena’, the music series from Gallery and Amazon Music Spain, is here!

After having delved into hyperpop and the figure of the music producer in its first two episodes, the third instalment of ‘Escena’ has arrived.

Amazon Music and Gallery premiere ‘Barras’, an episode produced by White Horse that explores the rap genre and hip-hop culture in Spain. Countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States have always made room for mainstream rap, while in our country this trend has always been relegated to the background. But things have changed. Nowadays, the musical rhythms classified as ‘old school’ have come back stronger than ever.

For some time now, a new generation of artists has been making the “barras” a hallmark that puts the spotlight on the rap genre and Spanish rappers, who have flown to find their place in the industry and even collaborate with artists from other genres such as pop or reggaeton. Now, rappers occupy front pages, star in television programmes and are invited to the most exclusive events.
