The Golden Boy burger from the Dutch restaurant De Daltons is now the most expensive burger in the world with a hefty price tag of 5,000 euros.
Originally from Dutch restaurant De Daltons, The Golden Boy Burger has just broken the record and taken the title from the 350kg burger from Oregon that was previously in the Guinness Book of Records. But that’s not all, the world’s most expensive new burger has just been sold and all proceeds will go to a local food bank.
The Golden Boy burger is presented in a whiskey-infused smoke tray and is made with premium ingredients. These include A5 Wagyu beef, king crab, bluga caviar, Iberian Bellota shoulder, smoked duck egg mayonnaise, Italian white truffle, Kopi Luwak coffee BBQ sauce, tiger tomato pickled in Japanese matcha tea and Dom Perignon gold leaf.
“The ingredients complement each other very well and the flavours are intense. Although this burger is extremely expensive, you should eat it with your hands because that is the only way to eat a burger. Since the bun is covered in gold, you’ll have golden fingers when you’re done,” said Robert.
To enjoy this burger at De Daltons, you have to book two weeks in advance and send a deposit of 750 euros.
