The London-based designer known for her combinations of sneakers and sexy heels has unveiled a new limited edition collection of hybrid footwear that references some iconic Nike soccer boots.
Upcycling is a sustainable practice that consists of transforming old products into new objects, and it is at the heart of all of Ancuta Sarca’s creations. Her proposals have made a strong impression on critics since she presented her first Spring/Summer 2020 collection in London. Today, the designer continues to impress with her innovative heel-football-boot combinations in collaboration with Nike.
Sarca has created custom designs for Cher, Rosalia and Kim Kardashian before, and her latest selection of images posted on Instagram shows several heeled boots created for Rihanna in January.
The Nike Air Zoom T90 III, the Nike T90 Laser IV from the 2012 Clash Pack, the Nike Tiempo Legend III, and the Nike Speed TD American Football cleat are reimagined in “Kitten Heels,” while the Air Zoom T90 III is reworked in a high-knee silhouette.
