As every year, the World Happiness Report has just unveiled its 2023 results confirming that the Nordic countries are the best countries to live in.
After surveying more than 150 countries and measuring happiness based on an average of three years of assessments, the World Happiness Report has found the best countries to be happy in.
This assessment of life is based on six key factors: health, freedom, social support, income, generosity and absence of corruption. For the sixth year in a row, Finland is at the top of the ranking, closely followed by Denmark and Iceland. According to the report, these countries “deserve special attention in light of their generally high levels of both personal and institutional trust”.
Estados Unidos ocupa la posición número 15, Reino Unido la 19 y España la 32, justo por encima de Italia.
“This year’s report presents a lot of interesting data but there is one that I find particularly interesting and encouraging, and that is the one that has to do with pro-sociality. For the second year in a row we see that various forms of everyday kindness, such as helping a stranger, donating to charity and volunteering, are above pre-pandemic levels,” says Lara Aknin, co-author of the report.
