Spring has just begun and we are already thinking about the next season’s trends.
But that’s the fashion world, always one step ahead. That’s why we’re talking now about what’s yet to come and we’re introducing you the best autumn garments. Take paper and pencil and write them down because these are the trends for next season:
Tailoring
This time, inclusiveness and empowerment are translated as sharp Saville Row shoulders. Thom Browne’s influence on this trend is undeniable, the man who, through his innovative approach to tailoring, has the world of fashion in the palm of his hand. However, wear it two larger sizes, including trousers. While Saint Laurent and Balenciaga opt for a wide look, Prada and Marni fasten belts at the waist to stylize the figure.
Leopard
It seems that neither brands nor consumers have had enough. When we all thought that last year had been the year of animal print, the main fashion houses show us the opposite. In fact, the use of animal prints is the oldest trend, trendy since Prehistory — literally. At least we are grateful that, by now, the snake print does not return to our lives.
Dark floral prints
It is hard to find, not to say impossible, a season in which flowers have not been a trend. On this occasion, it will have a romantic essence in a rather cold chromatic range. As for the flowers, they will be Victorian in style, just like the old tapestries.
Neon
It seemed that this trend would expire before next season but not at all. Although Inditex is the guilty of our rejection of fluorescent tones, there is evidence that in autumn they will be the stars of total looks. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at the latest Yves Saint Laurent, Versace and Balenciaga shows.
Coats up to your feet
No matter how long are the coats in your closet , they may not be enough. Next fall we have one thing clear: we won’t get cold. Max Mara and Chanel have been some of the brands that have shown it to us.
Microscopic bags
The word “small” gets too big. These bags are so tiny that you won’t even be able to put your mobile phone inside. But, if someone is still using the iPod, they may find it useful beyond the merely aesthetic. The driving force behind this trend was Jacquemus with Le Saq Chiquito, a bag only 10x8cm. However, the French designer is not the only one who has presented this characteristic accessory; Chloe, Givenchy and McQueen also join this new fashion trend.
Satin
Thanks to Versace, the slip dress returns stronger than ever. Although it was never completely gone, this time it returns to the foreground of the scene. In addition to the silky dresses, the satin trend will be present in all kinds of garments as we have seen in the collections of Off-White, Brandon Maxwell or Acne Studios, among others.
Lace
The lace trims are the detail we needed to complement the glamour with punk. During fall, semi-transparent lace will leave underwear in plain sight.
Feathers
It all began with Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2018 show. The feathered footwear was such a huge success that it has become an ever-growing trend. Now, feathers also conquer clothing. Michael Kors, Roksanda and, of course, YSL prove it to us.
Leather coats
If you don’t have one yet, your closet is incomplete. Without a doubt, it is a versatile garment for an elegant and modern style at the same time. On the catwalk they were very present making clear that “revival” fashion is a trend. Although the Matrix coat predominates in black, more and more designers are daring with other colors such as blue or brown.
