Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons celebrate the success of Miu Miu, which is positioned as the hottest brand for the second consecutive year.

Miu Miu held the top spot following its high-profile runway show in Paris featuring Gigi Hadid and Troye Sivan. With its series of viral collaborations throughout the year, from the New Balance 574 to partnering with Church’s, Miu Miu saw a 39% increase in online searches in the fourth quarter. Its iconic cashmere cardigan also saw a 12% increase, cementing its status as a leading brand.

LOEWE’s anagram is positioned as the logo of the year, complementing the quiet luxury aesthetic and decorating garments such as basic tank tops. These also became the hottest product in the second quarter, generating a 132% increase in searches.

This year’s y2k fashion fever was reflected in the rise of Miu Miu’s signature micro mini skirt, which became the trend of the year with 133% growth. See-through footwear also shined in 2023, expanding the popularity of ballerinas with interpretations from brands such as Bottega Veneta and The Row. With a 56% increase in searches, this style was positioned as the top choice in 2023. The adidas Samba, specifically the Wales Bonner iterations, became the object of desire, selling out weekly and generating a shocking 13,227% increase in searches.

On the celebrity front, Kylie Jenner was named Best Dressed, and Jennie Kim of Blackpink took home “The Power Dresser” award. On the other hand, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky stood out as “The Hot Couple” of the year.

The most impactful digital phenomenon was Maison Margiela’s “Tabi Swipper” on TikTok, with over 178 million viewers. This catapulted Tabi search by a shocking 342%, cementing its status as a digital icon. Finally, London-based designer Dilara Findikoglu was recognized as the 2023 “Brand to Watch” on Lyst Index, following her nomination for New Establishment Womenswear at the British Fashion Awards.
