Crafted from premium materials such as wool and pile-effect cotton, Maison Margiela’s jumper subtly recaptures the fashion house’s roots.
As part of the ICONS Fall/Winter 2021 collection, the maison directed by John Galliano presented a series of basic genderless pieces. Among them is the deconstructed and aged jumper, a star garment that captures Maison Margiela‘s DNA through worn details, ribbed round neck and dropped shoulders.
The rest of the designs that make up ICONS follow this same relaxed aesthetic, materialised in the high-cut trench coats, the exclusive silk suits or the nylon outerwear. The materials used in their manufacture also stand out, such as: wool, herringbone, cotton, silk or calvary twill.
And speaking of Maison Margiela… Do you know what their numbers mean?
