Opening Ceremony has once again collaborated with Vans in the reinterpretation of one of its iconic sneakers, which in this case are the Authentic QTL. In addition, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s brand has devised a series of garments and accessories to accompany this launch.
Although the alliance between Vans and Opening Ceremony dates back to 2014, this is the first time they work together on a collection that goes beyond footwear and will be available worldwide. In this new capsule we will find an updated version of the Authentic QTL, a tote bag and a tracksuit to which the prints that decorate the sneakers are transferred.
To add their personal touch to the sneakers, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have designed four different models. Two of them reinterpret the classic Vans checkboard through graphic patterns with snakes and leopards in red/white and black/white combinations, respectively. The other two designs are characterized by their quilted texture and shades dubbed “Orchid” and “Baja Blue”.
On the other hand, the collaboration is extended with a total look of the leopard print, which is transferred to a sweatshirt, pants and a matching bag.
The new Vans x Opening Ceremony capsule collection will be available from February 19 at the Vans physical and online store and selected retailers.
