Troye Sivan surprises with his iconic drag debut in the music video for “One Of Your Girls,” cementing his status as a pop diva. These were his inspirations.
In this production, Sivan not only dazzled with her presence as an atomic blonde goddess, but also surprised the audience by dancing alongside Ross Lynch. The single “One Of Your Girls” was born out of a personal experience of Sivan’s, in which she reflects on her feelings for a man who identifies as straight. The track comes off Sivan’s third studio album, “Something To Give Each Other”, which has already been hailed as one of the most outstanding pop albums of the year.
The clip was created by the team behind the videos for “Rush” and “Got Me Started”: director von Steiner, cinematographer Stuart Winecoff and choreographer Sergio Reis. These previews are part of her upcoming album: “This album is my way of giving you a gift: a kiss on a dancefloor, a date turned weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party after party after party after party after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, brotherhood, friendship,” said the singer and actor.
Among the pop divas who we believe inspired the 28-year-old Aussie is without a doubt: Carrie Bradshaw, Britney Spears in the “I’m Not a Girl, Not Set a Woman” era, Claudia Schiffer in the 90s Guess campaign, Donatella Versace in the 80s, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga in her ‘Telephone’ theme, Madonna in the Blonde Ambition era, the Pussycat Dolls in the ‘Buttons’ music video, the Beverly Hills style of Selling Sunset and Australian drag performer Ley Courtney who took part in RuPaul’s Drag Race.
