The platform to find love will include a new subscription much more expensive than the current ones, with features that are still being worked on.
Tinder currently includes several levels of subscriptions, with “Tinder Platinum” being the most premium at 30 euros per month. The company’s head of product, Mark Van Ryswyk, has revealed that they will be launching a new monthly subscription much more expensive than the rest with a price tag of 460 euros called “Tinder Vault”.
Some of the Tinder Vault perks that are still being worked on could be a priority pass that provides more profile boosts, a personalized concierge service and a “premium passport” for the most active and influential Tinder users.
The company is in the midst of making changes with the intention of moving away from its current image as a flirting app and becoming a platform on which to find something more serious.
“I always say, ‘I want it yesterday.’ And, of course, these things don’t work like that,” Van Ryswyk commented in an interview. “We’re still in this learning mode. Part of that is figuring out how something that might cost someone $6,000 a year adds value to the overall Tinder ecosystem. It can’t break the experience of Tinder’s free members, who make up the vast majority of users overall. And it has to be impactful enough for serious users willing to pay for Vault.”
