Tom Ford may be negotiating the sale of his brand

Rumours circulating on the internet suggest that Tom Ford may be assessing the value of his brand with the Goldman Sachs group.

Some rumours circulating on the internet suggest that Tom Ford may be assessing the value of his brand with the Goldman Sachs group. The goal? A possible sale.

According to sources quoted by Bloomberg, Tom Ford‘s company is worth several million dollars. The designer’s empire, which began in 2004 after his departure from Gucci, is said to include beauty, perfumery and optics.

This possible sale could “include an option that would give any Tom Ford owner the right to work with its founder after the sale,” the news outlet claims. This means that, whatever the final decision, the designer does not intend to disappear from the industry.

Among the main companies that could acquire the brand are the giants LVMH and Kering. Of the two candidates, the latter would be the favourite, as it controls the business of Gucci and Saint Laurent, two of the fashion houses that are closely associated with Ford.
