The result of an eternal exploration of its century-long travel heritage, a constant source of inspiration for all its collections, the House presents an ode to the seasonal ritual of heading to the coast. The Gucci Resort collection offers a selection of exclusive items from some of the world’s top holiday destinations, transforming the summer wardrobe into a full-colour logbook.
The central element of the special selection is the GG monogram, reinterpreted with a zig-zag background and vibrant colour combinations specific to each of the fair-weather paradises where they will be available exclusively. Among the cities chosen for the collection are Bondi, Bodrum, Cancun, Cannes, Capri, Dubai, Forte dei Marmi, The Hamptons, Hawaii, Ibiza, Jeju, Marbella, Miami, Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Okinawa, Palm Desert, Porto Cervo, Phuket and Rio de Janeiro.
Each item is inscribed with the name of the city in which its specific colour palette is inspired, making it a true souvenir that reflects the ever-growing narrative of each individual’s travels.
In order to present the product selection in a festive and surreal way, photographer and director Max Siedentopf has created a campaign in which pieces from the Gucci Resort collection take on the status of monuments in the mini-jackets of various holiday destinations.
Tote bags and sunglasses blend into the landscape, while beachgoers bring a burst of energy to scenes suspended in time – a reminder that there are still surprising stories to be discovered in even the most popular destinations.
The collection will be distributed through a selection of shops and Gucci.com. In addition, special beach hut-inspired pop-ups will also showcase the product offering.
