Tommy Hilfiger returns for a second year with a four-day program celebrating fashion, art and co-creation in collaboration with digital pioneers DRESSX, artist Vinnie Hager and the Web3 community.
Tommy Hilfiger returns to Metaverse Fashion Week organized by Decentraland with a four-day program created in collaboration with Web3. From March 28-31, the brand will unlock a new experience in fashion, art and innovation. The brand is working with metalfashion leaders DRESSX and artist Vinnie Hager to present immersive experiences, create digital garments and limited edition NFTs.
“I’ve always been driven to bring people together through experiences in fashion, art, music and entertainment,” says Tommy Hilfiger. “Today, the metaverse and Web3 are creating powerful new ways to do this, and are surpassing all the dreams I had when I started Tommy almost 40 years ago. We are reinventing our digital experiences, exploring new places for our digital collections and connecting with new communities that are engaging with a whole new side of the fashion industry.”
Day 1 – March 28th
The TOMMY HILFIGER IA design contest opens. The community will have three days to design and submit their own interpretation of a digital preppy fashion look. DRESSX will turn the winners’ creations into digital fashion collectibles, an augmented reality (AR) filter and a garment to be worn on Decentraland.
Day 2 – March 29
Multidisciplinary artist Vinnie Hager will take over TH Monogram, covering the building with his signature iconography in red, white and blue. Animations will be displayed in an immersive room that will allow visitors to explore, play and connect via IRL and URL. It will also create NFTs that will be available for purchase.
Day 3 – March 30
TH Monogram will become a digital representation of People’s Place, the first store Tommy Hilfiger opened in upstate New York in 1969. The store was a dedicated space for people from all walks of life to come together to experience art, music, fashion and pop culture. Preppy TOMMY HILFIGER and TOMMY JEANS classics are going to be turned into high-definition assets on DRESSX and Decentraland platforms, and will be unlockable with AR quizzes.
Day 4 – March 31
Winners of the AI design contest selected by Tommy Hilfiger himself will be announced. The digital garments will be created by DRESSX and will be available for purchase on their platform from April.
