Pierpaolo Piccioli returns to Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer with “Unboxing Valentino”.
The creative director has reinvented his own codes with a collection that reflects the rebelliousness of the new generations. The brand’s logo has been replicated in a pattern that promises to go viral: stringing the Valentino V’s one after the other to form a lattice-like lattice.
Tailoring was Valentino‘s strong point; nylon jackets with deep V-pleats, oversized double-breasted blazers, ruffled jumpsuits, a black technical jacket, a bright pink suit, a blazer-like cape and a purple dress wowed the audience.
The star of the collection was fur, and not just because of the plunging necklines that reached all the way to the back, which was also the case. But for all the possible shades of skin that have taken textile form, to the point that the garments are confused with the dermis of the models.
