Vans and Civilist go back to the roots with this collection

Vans and legendary Berlin skate brand Civilist join forces with artist Carsten Fock for a new footwear collection.

An ode to the city of Berlin, the release includes three colourways of Vans‘ signature Sk8-Low sneakers – including an exclusive Civilist one – designed with the help of Carsten Fock. Known for his graphics and paintings inspired by fashion, pop culture, politics and society, Fock‘s pencil-drawn lettering is embroidered and printed on the suede Sk8-Low. The souvenir-style collection has “Say Goodbye to the City” embroidered on the side, while “Back to the Roots” is printed on the insole and “I once was in Berlin” covers the shoe’s box. Two colour combinations in black and white, the latter exclusive to Civilist, are joined by a subtle navy blue colour mix.

The Vans x Civilist footwear collection will be available in the Berlin-based brand‘s physical shops from tomorrow, 28 July.  It will be available in the online boutique on Thursday 29 July and worldwide in selected skate shops from 30 July. For more information and where to find them, click here.
