Originally from Beijing, the designer became interested in fashion at an early age, starting to design trainers when he was still a high school student. Inspired by painters Robert Rauschenberg and David Hockney, he went to England to study fine art and ended up attending Central Saint Martins School in London, where he graduated in Fashion Design in 2020.
While studying, he was discovered by the teams at Yeezy, Kanye West’s brand, who hired him in their dedicated footwear department. He has been notably involved in the success of a number of cult models, including the Yeezy 700 Wave Runner. Enough to initiate and extend his experiments to other fields through clothing collaborations, such as with Moncler or Marni.
Now, the designer is ascending to a supernatural level in fashion by presenting his debut collection FW24. The capsule with which he debuts is composed of outwear garments such as coats, waistcoats, oversize trousers, hooded jackets, bags and more, but always with a multifunctional vision. “Our dream, derived from childhood desires for artistic expression and community, is to create a family of timeless heirlooms for the wardrobe, the outdoors, the home and beyond,” says the artist.
