Welcome to UNIQLO Gran Vía!

UNIQLO today opened its second shop in Madrid, located in the heart of the capital in the emblematic building at Gran Vía 37.

UNIQLO has today opened its second shop in Madrid, located in the emblematic Gran Vía 37 building. With a retail space of more than 2,200m2 distributed over four floors, UNIQLO Gran Vía becomes the brand’s largest shop in the Spanish market.

The new shop features the complete collection of women’s, men’s, children’s and baby essentials. In addition, customers can enjoy the brand’s collaborations with international designers, starting with the FW22 UNIQLO & JW Anderson collection available for the first time worldwide at UNIQLO Gran Via.

“Welcome to UNIQLO Gran Via!” says Taku Morikawa, CEO of UNIQLO Europe. “Today is an important milestone for UNIQLO. Our second shop in Madrid, the largest to date in Spain, symbolises our strong commitment to the Spanish market. I want to thank everyone who has helped make today possible. We are proud to open today in this beautiful building and I hope that all Madrilenians and visitors will feel welcome in our new store.”

UTme! and Re.UNIQLO Repair Studio

Design, customisation and circularity have been very present in the approach of the new shop and therefore UNIQLO Gran Vía will offer for the first time in the Spanish market two exclusive areas for the UTme! and Repair Studio services.

Through the UTme! service, the brand invites all its customers to instantly create their own personalised designs by combining photos, images and texts available in shop. This season, UNIQLO Gran Vía will feature exclusive UTme! designs by artists Sergio Dosal, Anna&Daniel, Mr Piro and Gavina Ligas of Atelier Aletheia.

Local Connection

In line with its philosophy of connecting with the local community in the cities where it operates, UNIQLO celebrates the opening of its second shop in the capital with the “Essentials for life” campaign; an expression of the brand’s commitment to local communities, celebrating all the people who, like the campaign’s protagonists, shape the city’s contemporary culture, making Madrid a cosmopolitan and effervescent enclave, open to everyone without forgetting the importance of the local.

UNIQLO Gran Vía has had other local collaborators such as GoodNews, a startup that has reinvented the traditional newsagents thanks to its quality, ethical and sustainable coffee and its wide range of national and international magazines and newspapers; Churrería Manosanta, churros with an innovative and modern concept and responsible for serving the traditional Madrid breakfast to all customers waiting at the doors of the new shop before its opening; and Atelier Aletheia, who has designed a limited edition of “goodie bags” as a gift for the first 100 customers to visit the shop.

The interior of UNIQLO Gran Vía features some exclusive pieces of furniture from Hannun, a BCorp company that is committed to a sustainable and environmentally friendly model in the furniture industry, as well as trees and plants from the Los Peñotes greenhouse. In addition, in the new shop customers can relax in the reading area while browsing through some of the exquisite books from Taschen publishing house.

Excellent reception of UNIQLO LifeWear

Located in the heart of Madrid, in the iconic Gran Vía 37 building, UNIQLO Gran Vía celebrates a new chapter in UNIQLO‘s trajectory in Spain. The opening of the second shop in Madrid comes on the back of five years of activity in the Spanish market since the opening of its first shop in Barcelona in September 2017.  During this successful period, the company celebrates the great acceptance by the public of its LifeWear concept; essential and quality garments that adapt to the personal style of each consumer.

UNIQLO Gran Vía becomes the company’s sixth shop in the Spanish market where it currently operates five other shops: PdG (2017), Glories (2017), Diagonal (2019) and La Maquinista (2021) in Barcelona and UNIQLO Serrano (2019) in Madrid. With the new opening, the Japanese company strengthens its presence in Europe where it currently has a total of 67 shops in nine markets.

See you at UNIQLO Gran Vía!
