World’s first space hotel to open in 2027

Voyager Station will be the first luxury hotel built in space. It will have libraries, cinemas, gyms and bars overlooking the Earth.

The hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 and will have restaurants, a spa, a cinema and different rooms with a capacity of up to 400 people. The construction company has announced that they will get to work on this project in 2025.

In a few years, we will be able to add —in fact, only the Kardashians will be able to do so— a new destination to our list of places to travel to: Voyager Station. This is the world’s first space hotel, which, if all goes according to plan, will open in 2027. The company in charge of this project is Orbital Assembly Corporation, which expects to begin construction by 2025.

And what will this hotel be like? Well, they have already advanced some of the services that this new luxury establishment will offer. Customers will be able to enjoy a cinema, a spa, gyms, libraries and even concert halls. In addition, as this space hotel will be built in low Earth orbit, guests will be able to enjoy lounges and bars with views of the Earth.

The Voyager Station will take shape through individual capsules – some of which will be made available to NASA for research purposes – linked together to form a Ferris wheel-like structure. The hotel will be able to circle our planet every 90 minutes, thanks to the artificial gravity generated by the rotation of the circle.
