YSL launches the most expensive Nirvana T-shirts in history

Anthony Vaccarello’s Yves Saint Laurent is characterized by elegant and almost uniformly black clothing pieces, as well as sunglasses and luxury handbags. Meanwhile, the Saint Laurent Rive Droite creative universe includes all kinds of products, such as household items, pool floats or skateboards.

As part of its Rive Droite summer collection, YSL serves up a wide variety of hand-selected vintage rock t-shirts, such as an In Utero T-shirt from the 90s for $2,690, a classic Nirvana Smiley Face for $990, and an original Incesticide t-shirt for the outrageous price of $4,450 USD.

In addition, Saint Laurent has also snapped up other vintage T-shirts that fit Vaccarello’s essence, such as a Twilight Zone, a peace sign T-shirt and an old Roy Lichtenstein T-shirt.

Being vintage t-shirts, which can also be found elsewhere for much less money, their crazy prices have surprised most. Likewise, Saint Laurent’s fixation on band T-shirts is not surprising, considering the career of former creative director Hedi Slimane, who maintains the essence of rock ‘n roll at CELINE.
