YUME YUME x Kate Ahn: celebrating creative self-expression

Amsterdam-based footwear brand YUME YUME(@yumeyume____) launches a capsule collection with Los Angeles-based artist Kate Ahn(@killla.kate).

Fusing art and fashion, the YUME YUME x Kate Ahn collaboration celebrates a shared labor of love for self-expression. Ahn hand-painted acrylic artwork and used her favorite YUME YUME styles as the canvas.

The edition includes three exclusive styles. The Fisherman boot, which we’ve already seen from Rosalía, showcases the ‘Mini Me’s’, with the artist’s symbolic illustration draped, bringing a colorful dimension to YUME YUME’s classic style. The half Camp slipper features a cloudy blue “Laced” print overlaid with thin blue ribbon bows. Love Heel shows the directional twist on heart-shaped heeled sandals with Kate’s ‘Nudles’ artwork.

We’ve been seeing the silhouettes of the partnership between the artist and the brand for a few months now, and now they’re here! “I’m very excited about this collaboration – it’s very special to us.
