It has been 20 years since Inditex opened in Palafolls (Barcelona) its first for&from shop, a network of outlets of its different franchises that employs people with disabilities and mental disorders. Today there are 15 shops operating under this concept -14 in Spain and one in Italy-, all managed entirely by specialised organisations. Zara Home is the latest to join the list.
Inditex’s home and interior design brand, Zara Home, opened this Thursday at the San Sebastián de los Reyes The Style Outlets shopping centre in Madrid a space where a team of 14 people with different types of physical, sensory, intellectual and mental disabilities work, offering items from previous seasons at reduced prices.
The main objective of the project is to create jobs for people with disabilities in a favourable environment that facilitates their social integration. The shop itself is an important point for raising awareness and highlighting the abilities of people with disabilities, who develop their work in a commercial space of reference, breaking down barriers and stereotypes.
Now… Zara Home launches its first collection dedicated to music.
