Over the past few months, dozens of versions of the New Balance 2002R have appeared, both in collaborations and in different colourways. After their last iteration as a mule, now comes the more technical version with hidden pockets.
The new version of the New Balance 2002R comes in an olive green, grey and navy blue colour combination. The highlight is the technical nylon pockets that cover the 3M-equipped laces and include a zip for added utility. In addition, the brand name in lower case adorns the transparent pockets.
The model arrives with a multitude of overlays: technical nylon base that extends to the toe, forequarters and heels, just like suede or leather. As if the contrasts weren’t enough, nubuck adorns the heel along with 2002R and New Balance branding, while the NERGY sole underpins the temperamental design on the upper.
The latest version of the New Balance 2002R will arrive in Tokyo on April 21st and we don’t know yet when the rest of the world will see it.
