In the last few days a video has gone viral on TikTok that reveals the secret to falling asleep in less than three minutes. What are you waiting for to try it?
TikTok user @youngeryoudoc, known on the social network for uploading health-related content, has reached a new level of popularity by highlighting one of his infallible tricks: rubbing his inner wrist to fall asleep.
According to Dr Shari Auth, “there are four acupressure points that start on the little finger side of the wrist crease and go up the inside of the forearm”.These four pressure points are known as Heart 4, 5, 6 and 7. They are located on or around the hands and, when rubbed, help relieve stress and anxiety, among other problems.
“They are good for insomnia and are excellent for rubbing at bedtime. These points are commonly used by acupuncturists to treat sleep, palpitations and mental health problems such as depression and anxiety,” she adds.
