Proenza Schouler and Birkenstock launch luxury patent leather sandals, with two velcro straps and contrasting visible stitching.
The New York firm Proenza Schouler has joined forces with Birkenstock to create a collaborative pack of luxury sandals. It’s a re-edition of the iconic silhouettes of Birkenstock Milano and Arizona, interpreted with new materials and visible seams in contrast. The start of the collab is the Milano sandal, made of black leather with yellow stitching. The two velcro straps complete a minimalist and elegant design.
There is also another Milano but in a black and white combination. Both pairs sit on a cork sole, with the black pair having a leather trim and the white pair being untreated. Both silhouettes are equipped with a grippy rubber sole and a suede lined interior.
The other reedition is the Arizona sandals, which come in black with white seams, white with black seams and a third orange-black option. All three come in patent leather and differ from Milano’s in that they do not have a back strap.
The Proenza Schouler x Birkenstock sandals are now available in stores such as matchesfashion.com. Prices range from 359$ to 446$.
