The French fashion house Dior has decided to team up and join forces with one of the most important football teams in the world and the most important in the country they both come from. Can you guess which one? Obviously it couldn’t be any other than the French team, Paris Saint-Germain. But what was the reason that brought the world of fashion and sport together? Continue reading…
The reason we are referring to is related to the design of a series of garments, by the current creative director of the French maison’s menswear line, Kim Jones, for the PSG players. All of them will wear a pair of casual and formal looks over the next two seasons, made up of garments and accessories that perfectly reflect the brand’s distinctly avant-garde yet elegant and cool aesthetic.
As for the casual looks, these will be characterised by a Harrington jacket, which will be combined with a knitted jumper and a polo shirt, accompanied by an embroidered Paris Saint-Germain patch and the initials “CD Icon”. The finishing touch to this look is the black leather “Explorer” derby shoes. The more formal or elegant looks, on the other hand, will be composed of a cashmere coat, a jacket, a shirt and trousers worn with “Captoe” derbies. In addition, the players will wear accessories such as the “Saddle Bag” in black grained calfskin, a Paris Saint-Germain branded jacquard tie, a cashmere scarf and a reversible belt.
