Nordstrom (@nordstrom) has a new partnership that also includes a concept store. Labelled Concept 006, the capsule consists of 40 exclusive pieces designed by Matthew Williams from 1017 ALYX 9SM. The collection, which incorporates collaborations of the designer with Nike or Dior, is divided into four categories: leather, signature, technical and formal.
“We still don’t have a physical store, and this concept store is a great example of what our variety would look like in an ALYX store,” Matthew Williams.
The leather section incorporates particular garments such as the completely black (leather) coat, the signature category offers exclusive ALYX designs and the formal offer is made up of more classic garments such as suits and footwear with futuristic details.
“Alyx has its roots in functionality and how it can be incorporated into people’s lives,” says Sam Lobban, vice president of men’s fashion at Nordstrom. “Matthew balances aesthetics with forward-thinking garment production about what men will really want to wear.
The exclusive 1017 ALYX 9SM capsule is now available at Nordstrom stores in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, Costa Mesa, Chicago, Dallas and Vancouver. It can also be purchased at nordstrom.com until November 3, 2019.
