Carhatt WIP presents new collection for FW20 in collaboration with Wacko Maria. The result: a capsule of 18 iconic pieces by Carhatt reinterpreted by the Japanese designer.
The characteristic elements of Wacko Maria (@wackomaria_guiltyparties) appear immersed in every collection. Thus, a whole new imagery has been created for Carhatt through leopard prints and embroidery. One of the key pieces has been the American Scrip sweatshirt; also the OG Active Jacket. Both appear with the Wacko badges. The leopard continues to appear throughout the creative process and has been applied to two of the OG Detroit Jackets as a canvas effect print.
The two colours of the Wacko Maria skate pants are also included but have been made in the Carhartt WIP cotton. The collection is completed with a reworking of the classic American Script t-shirt with embroidery by the Japanese firm. The images that accompany this collaboration were taken in Shibuya, Tokyo by Taro Mizutani (@taro_mizutani), a regular collaborator of Wacko.
Wacko Maria x Carhartt WIP will be available from October 10th in selected shops and on the Carhatt website.
