Moncler Genius’ outerwear empire expands its creative frontiers with the unexpected acquisition of Stone Island for 1.15 million euros. Now the brands collide in the same imaginary to develop a new luxury vision through their philosophy ‘beyond fashion, beyond luxury’. Surely, it is beyond the planet.
Remo Ruffini, President and CEO of Moncler S.p.A. and Carlo Rivetti, President and CEO of Stone Island, join forces to strengthen and increase the competitiveness of Moncler and Stone Island in the luxury sector, especially in the American and Asian markets.
The two Italian brands will continue to be autonomous entities, respecting their identity and their modus operandi. The Stone Island headquarters will remain in the Italian municipality of Ravarino, while Carlo Rivetti and the rest of his team will continue in their current roles.
Moncler will introduce Stone Island to its culture of sustainability, something that has led it to be at the top of the textile sector, as well as creating a new need to stroll through modern life with its showcase of iconic puffers. Both brands will share their creative processes and knowledge of the fashion industry to arrive at an outer space concept.
