Maison Margiela and Reebok launch Classic Leather Tabi Bianchetto

Maison Margiela and Reebok announce the launch of the Classic Leather Tabi Bianchetto. The result is a shoe that expresses Margiela’s legacy through one of the sportswear brand’s most iconic designs. 

This new launch represents the most distilled version to date of the stylistic codes of Maison Margiela and Reebok. Fusing innovation and nostalgia, fashion and functionality come together in a design that is as contemporary as it is timeless.

The Classic Leather Tabi unites two icons in one. On the one hand, the Tabi model created by Margiela in 1988; on the other, one of Reebok’s most recognizable silhouettes.

For this collaboration, the Classic Leather has been completely redesigned to adapt the split toe of the Tabi. This style was created in Napa leather with an EVA sole. Maison Margiela’s characteristic “Bianchetto” technique has been applied to the shoe: a white hand-painted lining on a black leather base that deliberately fades with use.
