A BATHING APE® announces the launch of an exciting series of its classic BAPE STA for SS21. Completely redesigned, the silhouettes come in new designs and colors.
The BAPE STA, first launched in 2000, became an instant A BATHING APE® icon. The star-shaped “STA” logo, as well as its vibrant color tones, have been defining Japanese streetwear for the past 20 years. Soon, they crossed borders, attracting the attention of international celebrities such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Jay Z and Pusha T, among others.
For Spring 2021, BAPE STA redesigns its original models and proposes a simpler, more relaxed look. These are presented with a new sole providing more comfort with every step. In addition, the combination of suede and leather gives the new BAPE STA that discreet air that is the perfect combination of freshness and luxury.
In addition, they have announced four new silhouettes that will drop in spring 2021. Among them are the BAPE SK8 STA, the BAPE STA 93 HI, the BAPE COURT STA and the BAPE BLOCK STA HI.
The BAPE SK8 STA comes with the STA logo embossed and accented by PVC details. Color combinations range from red/yellow, green/purple or electric yellow/black. The model comes with adjustable lace holes in the suede upper design. Each pair also features the BAPE® logo embroidered on the back heel.
The BAPE STA 93 HI features a faux crocodile skin print. The “93” badge appears on the side and the BAPE logo embroidered on the heel. With a monochromatic palette of gray and black, the model brings a modern feel, while the warm, earthy tones of the light sand and orange color scheme offer more pizzazz.
The BAPE COURT STA sneakers are released in a fog grey and royal purple and light grey with cream color combination. The grey and purple design comes with a suede upper, while the grey and cream pair has a supple leather finish. Both versions feature the iconic ABC camouflage pattern, with the signature BAPE logo embroidered on the heel.
Finally, BAPE BLOCK STA HI comes with a Velcro strap and comes in black/lime and grey/green. They also feature “93” on the side and the BAPE badge embroidered on the heel.
The new BAPE STA sneaker collection will go on sale February 6 at BAPESTORE® and online. If you want to know more about the brand click on this link.
